PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
A Solution Engineer (SE), also known as a Presales Representative is an active participant in the application software sales cycle. The Solution Engineer will focus on supporting of sales cycles in the small to medium segment of the market, hence the enablement of sales and implementation partners in this segment. SAP solution areas in scope are dominantly: Financials, Human Capital Management, Materials Management, Sales and Distribution.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
* Support in sales cycles with direct contact to customers
§ Participation in any of the following: site survey, strategy sessions, value based product presentations or demonstrations, and after sale transition to consulting services
§ Ability to demonstrate the value of the solution (not just demonstrate the functionality), and the ability to build a strong working relationship with both the prospect and the SAP Virtual Account Team
§ Ability to communicate business requirements to project/ implementation team after completion of sale to ensure a smooth transition from presales to implementation stages, warranting a continuous degree of customer satisfaction
* Support in sales cycles through SAP’s partner network
§ Works closely with SAP partners in MENA region and supports partners’ presales team in demonstrating and selling SAP solution and services to their customers
§ Ability to conduct orientation and training sessions to SAP partners teams
* Interact & Operate
§ Heavy interaction and effective communication required with Solution Engineers in the Middle East & North Africa Region and support Small and Medium Sized Sales Executives and Sales Management
§ Lateral interaction with Solution Engineering teams in KSA and UAE for purposes of knowledge sharing, training of team members and aligning with the goals of this organization
§ Ensure implementation of best practices for demo development, and demo delivery, according to value based practices
§ Egypt based working-hours, primarily out of Egypt; Travel: 20 – 40%

WORK EXPERIENCE
* 3 + years of professional experience
* 3 + years applications and presales experience OR 3 + years of SAP product implementation experience OR 3 + years of SAP partner (enablement) experience
* 100% remote selling (site surveys, demo’s, meetings)

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
* Bachelor degree; Master equivalent would be a plus

* Possess strong sense of teamwork, integrity, self motivation, positive attitude, and works to solve problems
* Strong English and Arabic speaking skills.
